At BFS, no two projects are identical, and our latest custom deaerator system is a prime example of high-spec engineering tailored to our client’s exact needs.
Designed for a leading specialty chemical producer, this system is built to feed 11,000 #/hr of deaerated water directly to the steam boiler. But standard specs wouldn’t cut it for this job: the entire unit is designed to be explosion-proof for installation in a hazardous environment.
Built to Last, Built for Safety
To meet the location’s rigorous hazardous classification, our engineering team specially selected explosion-proof motors, level switches, and specialized instrumentation, all wired through custom-fabricated explosion-proof conduit and paired with a nitrogen-purged control panel.
Engineered Protection & Custom Finishes
To withstand harsh conditions and prevent long-term external corrosion, this project features a specialized three-tone finish built to customer specifications:
- The Tank: Sandblasted and sealed with a heavy-duty inorganic zinc primer.
- The Support Structure: Hot-dip galvanized for maximum environmental resistance.
- The Piping: Finished in signature BFS Blue.
Driven by Collaboration
Custom work demands relentless attention to detail. Mike Monville worked tirelessly alongside our drafting and engineering teams, navigating six drawing revisions to ensure every single requirement was met without compromise.
This project exemplifies what BFS stands for: highly engineered, high-quality solutions built around your exact operational needs.
